The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections. RYLA is an internationally recognized program, each year more than 9,000 young adults are sponsored by Rotary Clubs in over 25 countries. Dedicated Rotarians and selected presenters make up the RYLA team. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards has 25,000 students and young adults participating globally. . The Rotary Club of Decatur County participates in selecting two students to send to the annual week-long summer camp.
About The Experience
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program is a transformative experience designed to help high school students develop personal and leadership skills with a focus placed on communication, problem-solving and management abilities. Held at Grinnell College every July, RYLA is an opportunity for students to learn from experienced leaders, build lasting relationships, and develop their own leadership potential. As a Rotary Club, we are proud to sponsor students to attend RYLA and help prepare them for a bright future.
